New to the forum, haven't had any monster fish in the past except a handful of red bellied paku. Just got a silver arrow though and wanted to know what the best thing to feed him was, he has a gorgeous red going through his fins that I'd love to keep but don't know what's the best thing to feed him. I have him eating blood worms now but want to know what's the best for him and what will keep the red coloring or make it brighter. I know that some saltwater fish get their pinkish red coloring through the things they eat like shrimp and crabs, but not sure if this is the same with freshwater fish like arrows. Anything helps

Maybe 4 or 4.5 inches, don't know exact size but around that.

Keep feeding the the bloodworms but rotate with the smallest floating pellet like New Life Spectrum and also small freeze dried Mysis shrimp may be excepted. When Aro gets around 6-7 inches stop feeding Bloodworms and feed larger floating pellet and floating food sticks Hikari is a good brand also try freeze dried krill in the feeding rotation. I had a Silver that would also except cut up Tilapia.

Definitely pellets. I would try to get him on floating pellets asap. Just my opinion. I've been out of the game for a little while so I am not sure the latest and greatest floating food. I fed my massivour if I am not mistaken. I will be doing some heavy research soon and figure out whats up as my tank is almost ready to be filled.

Sorry I didnt read his post before. Agreed with EVERYTHING said. I used both pellets mentioned and yes I fed him tilapia. He grew so fast I actually remember stuffing tilapia pieces with the small spectra pellets (cut a slit in tilapia and stuff away)
