I went to a reptile show in Columbia SC this weekend and although I expected to go home empty-handed (this thought was depressing enough almost to keep me from going in the first place), I came home with a baby coastal carpet python:)

I had to choose between a new blood python or a carpet python, and I decided that I already have enough lap snakes (blood pythons are good TV-watching companions), I wanted a neck snake.

oooooooooh man I love this snake!

No way! I have a baby coastal too! I got mine September the 10th and she was a size of a pencil. Now she is thicker then a pencil. How much did you pay for your's? Mine was 150 CAD. Good luck with it.

all the blood pythons i've handled were pretty untamed. its good you can get you bloods to be lap snakes. lots of handling i suppose?

vil

i would have gone carpet pythons too. aus are my favourite species. get some pics up

I'm working on the pictures guys...but the darn snake won't hold still so the pictures are fine except for a blurry head. gah! But I'll get a couple up as soon as I can...

Z, how do you like yours? Is she still bitey? Mine is. And I got it for $50 US.

Vil, yeah I handled my bloods a lot when they were young. My two Borneos never really gave me any trouble at all, but my red blood was pretty nasty and fell off my lap a few times striking at the images on the TV. But now she's big and lazy and she's my baby :)

I got mine to eat a baby rat yesterday. Mine is very fast. Never tries to bite tho. She is very fun to be with. Mine it Het Jaguar, maybe thats why it was so much more. I hope both of ours get big!!:headbang2
