I am a beginner snakehead keeper. 2 weeks ago, I bought a 7 1/2 inch micropeltes. He's a very fast grower, he's already 8 1/4 inches (at least I think so). I feed him pieces of raw fish (which he voraciously goes after). As of now I'm keepinghim in a 40 gallon tank with a similarly sized silver arowana and 2 9-inch blood parrot cichlids. When he grows up, he and the silver aro are going to be moved to a 100 gal. When they grow larger, I will move them to my 1000 gallon fish pond where I used to keep an alligator gar (it died of overfeeding). Any other tips about snakeheads from any experienced monster fish keepers here?
