Hey,

I finally got motivated to take some pics and post them here. I've got a Fluval 3+ filter and a interpet NO2 filter. Got a couple plants in there, two rainbow snakeheads, a loach and a shark. They're all abt 2 to 3 inches. They're getting fed a mixture i made of blood worms mixed with dried krill, which i keep frozen. They seem to love it. Anyways here are a couple of pics......

This was about a week ago:

This was my crab(s), I saw him chillin on some plants and he looked a bit pale. So i thought that he might be changing his shell soon. He wasn't moving much and whenever, my crayfish changed shells before it wouldn't move for awhile. So i figured it was normal. Then i'm look at my tank and i notice another crab, so i think oh he must of changed shells already thats why he's so pale. Then i take the 'old' shell out and realise that it was the crab and the pale one was just his shell. The small snakehead was the only one with a huge bulge in its stomach so i figured it was him:

I still have the old shell and is in perfect condition. I wanna keep it, can i just dry it out and will it hold?

Nice tank, looks like a nice fat female "assam" you have there :D

It seems to have the same colour and shape as my female, females have
much more red on them.

and if you compare to my male who is alot slimmer and has longer and more colourful fins

What do you think? :)

Nah no way, the guys at snakehead.org orginally ided
them for me.He's approx 3in, i've had him for months
and he's not going to get that much bigger now i doubt.

Dry the shell and carefully paint it with shellac or clear acrylic to hold it together and strengthen it.

nice lookin tank
