Well I recevived a notification that aparently i've been inactive a while and i should post lol, So here i am posting

i treated myself to a gift for the holidays and decided to expand my snakehead collection to include a pair of channa aurantimaculata and trio of channa bleheri , I said I wasn’t going to deal with the dwarf’s but the color on these guy's are better then most pic’s I see so I can’t pass it up…

I'll hopefully post some pic's of them soon once setteled into there new home along with , anyone on here keep channa aurantimaculata ?

I don't keep snakeheads as they would probably eat my other fish! What size of a tank do you keep them in and do they have any tankmates? It's nice to hear from another Canuck.

Hey, NO tank mate's, bleheri could probably have some but why risk it, plus there aren’t many "sub-tropical" species that I see, most prefer water temps higher then that of snake heads.

The asiatica are in a 40 gallon but still young, 6" or so, but growing fast they will be upgraded to a 90 soon and they can’t have tank mate’s they kill everything that lands in the water lol, I have a 10 inch pleco that’s been in there since they were 3 inches and the larger of the 2 has even started attacking him from time to time. I'm repairing a 100 gallon this weekend for the aurantimaculata, should do them for now... If they breed for me then I’ll maybe get them a bigger tank as a reward LOL

I see you've got some motoro's I've always debated getting some ray's

Yeah, rays are great! So are snakeheads, if I had room for another big tank I'd give one a try.

I posted pics in a more recent post

Oh I guess they moved my pic to the sub forum "snakehead media lounge" check them out let me know what u think
