Hello everyone just wanted to say Hi. I recently received a 29 gallon freshwater tank from a friend and have become very interested in learning about tropical fish. As a kid I always had some sort of aquatic animal (turtles, frogs, fish... etc) as well as my fair share of lizards, toads and snakes. But I was never very knowledgeable and being a stupid young kid usually killed off most of my fish before they could mature. After about 5 years without a tank I have now rejoined the tropical fish owner ranks and I have enjoyed spending most of the day lurking and reading articles. I look forward to learning more from everyone here as it seems there is a very knowledgeable group of people here and I can probably find a lot of answers that I wouldn't have found at my lfs. (like the bala sharks and clown loaches I just bought may grow much to large for my 29 gallon tank)
P.S. I found out about this site because I saw a guy wearing a "MonsterFishKeepers.com" shirt the other day and made a mental note to check it out. I'm glad I did.
