Pretty colorful for a dasyatidae . I hope this is the real pic. I dont think we can have one anytime soon as it sounds pretty rare.

The ray in the pic is not the one that they are taking about in the article. Its a blue spotted marine ray Taeniura lymma, the newly discovered ray will probably be a dull drab looking ray in comparison.
Asian freshwater rays are never as colourfull as their south american cousins :)
