The RBPs love the new tank layout with the spiderwood and tannins and they have reacted great. HOWEVER, the white biofilm is atrocious to look at in the tank. I know it’s harmless, just nasty snotty looking. I don’t think an Otto will survive long with my 6 3” or so juveniles, and crustaceans are probably out of the question. What do y’all suggest. The wood is amazing looking and would love to keep it in the tank.

Usually all wood has a period where the outer layer dies off leaving the white biofilm... just stuck it off the wood when your doing water changes it will stop probably within a month depending on the size of the wood.
