Picked this guy up for $6.99 today. He's already pretty active. He's in my 30g with some Loaches, Catfish, and some smaller community stuff. And a total of zero inches of exposed lid

Haha, thanks. I actually have a Clown Pleco (Panaque maccus) in my 30g as well. I have a lot of fish, but my filtration is kick***. The Clown, who is 2" long, is probably the messiest little fish in there. He's a little piggy, chewing up his driftwood. (They need driftwood in their tank BTW)

if you ask me its the best eel to get! never had one but always wanted one and thats not bad for one i havent seen one that "cheap"..
