I am building a new stand for my 55 gallon tank. Here are some in progress pictures. The smaller opening is where the supplies will be kept. There will be some shelves in there. The larger opening is where the 20 gallon sump will go. I still need to put some finishing trim on it, build some doors, stain it and probably some stuff I'm forgetting .
The whole frame and inside has been painted with a heavy oil paint to seal it from water and humidity. The outside will be stained and cleared. The frame is obviously is 2x4, the outside is 3/4" hardwood plywood. Every connection was glued and screwed. What does everyone think?
