GTs will probably get killed, hate to break the news They aren't aggressive enough to keep w/ Africans
When I had them, I chose to keep them because I read that they were pretty passive.I picked relatively mellow African species compared to most mbuna, If anything I'm worried about the africans!

However, I had an electric yellow that was an absolute terror haha but I've read they're typically not psycho aggressive. I just got lucky.
do you even realize the PH preference between these speices? one likes mid-6's and the other is close to a 9I picked relatively mellow African species compared to most mbuna, If anything I'm worried about the africans!

just saying, just because they have been doing it doesn't mean the fish will be healthy at that PH. they might survive, but they won't thrive nor live their full life span. You take a fish that can live 15 years and put it in the wrong PH it might not show signs for a while, but eventually it will take it's toll. You'd be better off just doing 2 different type of tanks for them. I mean they aren't even from the same continent....it's not like you put GTs in a CA biotope....even the hardness should be different for themMaybe in the wild, but these have been bred for many generations in into unfamiliar water conditions. The P.H is 7.6 which is a happy medium either way! Are you not into mixing different regions?
