After alot of thinking I've decided to redo the stock of my 125 to only include the species I am absolutely in love with. My current stock is a possible male 2 inch Jack Dempsey, a 3 inch Green Terror, 6 inch female Vieja and a 12 inch pleco. I am very very happy with this stock. Do anybody see any possible problems with this stock. I have a fluval Fx4 and a HOB penguin bio wheel. I change 30% weekly and I feed 3 times daily for now.

If you have a male JD, the GT may have trouble with it. JD a middle range aggression CA, GT milder SA. 3x daily feeding is not too bad for small fish, but more waste production leads to degrading water quality. 30% weekly water change is very insufficient, especially with a big plec. They are a huge strain on the bio load of any tank.

How much should I change weekly? I wad thinking of maybe 2 female piebald convicts to add

Twice weekly on all my tanks(10), single fish or community. There is more to water quality than simple nitrate tests. There are dissolved metabolites, waste in the substrate. With a foot long plec, you have lots of that! Fish emit a growth inhibiting hormone in their urine. The more water you change, the better your fish will do with growth, color and longevity. On the flip side, insufficient changes leads to all sorts of trouble, and suddenly you have fish doing poorly.
