So i baught this 55 gallon sump for $35 bucks =). It already have two baffles in them both at 13 inches, The guy used acrylic, so im gonna make some teeth into the pump side.

I was just wondering what i can do to make it more effective, right now it would be just a wet filter, i would probally use an air stone or powerhead w/ airline to add more air.

Right now i have, 10lbs of pea gravel, lava rock, and scrubbies that i can use.
should i do a rocky bottom, and then put scrubbies on top? Also will a heater melt the nylon? that just a main concern right now

Cut out the baffles and arrange them so you can have a Wet/Dry filter.
Use egg crate and scrubbies for the bio and floss on top of the driptray.

You can make the drip tray out of plastic pegboard...

i think i have an idea with what i want to do, umm does the peg boards, already have walls on it?

Do this, it will be MUCH more effective at filtration.

Peg board is flat stock with holes in it, at 1" increments...

zen, dont i have to build walls on it, so it can hold water, and then drip down the holes
