Would it surprise you that the first fish in the new growout was another poly lol. Had a baby endli in there within 48 hours of setting it up. Currently have 1 endli and 2 kolibas all around the 3-4” mark chilling in the sump along with a group of mollies/swordtails/guppies and some convicts to breed as feeders. Little monsters are chowing on massivore, tilapia and whatever of the feeder stock they catch so hopefully they grow quick! Since I’m trying to use the growout as a refugium for nutrient reduction as well it’s running a grow light so the pictures are all a little on the pink/red side but the fish don’t seem to care.

Always an excuse! Cute little fellas :)

Try emergent/floating plants if you really want to get rid of waste :)

Already got some pothos and emergent anubias in the sump and main display ;) Hendre Hendre the thought with the refugium is to provide a slow flow zone where detritus can fall down into the sub and wood and either go anaerobic and be broken down or the plants growing there will break it down. Idk either way I have a new poly growout and that’s what really matters lol
