I hppe you know that tank will be way to small in a matter of months. Id reccomend picking up a 75 gallon. Most people dont realize how big sunfish get. Add some plants or hiding places to make him feel more secure. You can set up a sort of rock cave in there and he should go into it and feel more secure

Nice fish and nice tank....you should also check out the NANFA forum, they have a lot of info on native sunfish to give you a good start.
