Species only of course...fish are all juvies so hopefully I get at least one pair out of the group.

plus a bonus DIY shot at the end...

What else could I do for decor? I want to keep it relatively simple...would some Java Fern or Anubias look out of place? More rockwork?

Was at an Aqua clear with a bio wheel put in. Nice.

Anyways as to adding. Well I would put in one of the plants you suggested, likely a nice large one in the frount right, and then maybe a tall skinny one to place right behind that v to make the pile look higher. (Or you just might want to add rocks.)

Just so you know I go through so many changes in decor it isn't even funny...

Anyways looks to be a good start.

sam here like every weekend:D:headbang2:headbang2:screwy::naughty:

Thanks for the input guys...I'm thinking that I will go for more rockwork with some smaller pebbles to break up the the bottom a little bit.

Yeah, that is an AC-70 with a bio wheel...a pretty simple mod if you have the brackets that the bio wheel sits in on an old penguin filter. Trim the wheel down to size, silicone the brackets so the bio wheel sits in the flow of water, and you're done.

Those are neo. brichardi, one is an albino. From what I understand they are all Brichardi now? I "heard" somewhere that neo. pulcher wasn't considered a seperate species anymore....

well the brichardies and pulchers will be the same fish, but is still considereated another variety, and mixing varieties isn't something that someone will be looking after.

are gracilis, helianthus, falicula and the others considerated brichardies too..?

What do you mean by "variety?" A species is a species...basically the varieties you are talking about are morphs of one in the same.

In any event I looked it up again and I had it backwards...they're all pulchers ;)

a species is not just a species... morphs matter... not that you can not have them, but just that morphs matter in the hobby to many...

feel free to do what you want, but mixing morphs is not really loved by all in the hobby...

just an FYI
