I got my new tank set up and running a few weeks ago. I noticed that last night my p-bass and dats are flashing against my large female motoro. WHY? should i be concerned?

It freaks her out when they do it. She is also beat up from mating.

Are they doing it on other things in the tank or just the ray? That behavior is associated with gill flukes but doubt that is the case.

Have they always been housed together? When I added new fish (i.e. my large myleus schombugkiis), sometimes they would flash on my rays but it was by no means consistent. Is this a constant behavior?...Or just once or twice?

i would say if the dat and bass are doing it, they r prob comin down w somethin...

no they were not housed together, just worried since it is pretty newly setup that things are starting to go bad.
Not constant but occasionally

???

i have had trouble getting the temp just right, it got kind of cold in my house and i checked and the temp was about 74 which it way to cold IMO then i checked it last night and i had it to warm at 86, so i am still trying to get it just right.

74 isnt really that cold...

Dats definitely need the warmer temps and that is pretty low for rays too.

Check for ick. drop in temp could bring on a case of ick and if all the fish are doing it as opposed to one or two, then there's a problem.
