hey guess im finally picking up my 300 or so gallon tank tomorow in the morning. i think its 6ft by 3 ft by 3ft no 100 percent on the diminesions but it looks heavey. the glass looks almost an inch think. what are my best options for moving it its in a basement and we need to move it up a few stairs to the outside. iv got about 6 people lined up to help carry it. if any one has any suggestions plz let me know :) thanx.

sorry no advice here, but good luck and lets see pics when your done. BTW what will you use for filtration.

If it is 6 feet long, the I would rent a heavy duty dolly for uhaul and stand the tank on its end. Lay a blanket between it and the dolly and strap it tight. You won't be able to pack it through a door way because you won't have any place to put your hands.

the tank will weigh about 5-600 pounds. I agree 6 friends and a dolly would be very necessary. get a dolly with the attachment for going down steps.

dolly or those wonderfull suction cups are amazing for moving glass

BTW 6x3x3 is 400G

I've used a dolly before. I would suggest renting a forklift, or a small backhoe.

i cant honestly afford to rent a fork lift lol plus its in a basement not to sure how getting a fork lift would even work there
