have
125g tank
72"x18" stand
FX5
AC110

need
lights - planning on ordering this week
lids - convincing the GF to get them for me for xmas
substrate - pool filter sand mixed with tahitian moon sand
decor - again te GF for xmas :D
heaters - order next week

am i missing anything besides water and fish(which i already have a few of) :D

should i add a piece of foam btwn the tank and stand?

foam is always nice IMO.. not always needed but if youve used it once theres a good chance theres a large piece tucked away somewhere..

Thermometer, powerstrip, I'm sure you have some laying around but those were the only things that popped into my head.

Are the filters cycled or are you starting new?

the ac110 is on my 55g now and im thinking about putting my xp3 on there to support the new tank. ill be putting filter material from the xp3 in the fx5. do you think it will create a mini cycle?

If you are moving the fish and filters(media) from the 55g to the 125g you will not see a drop in water params. Unless you greatly reduce the amount of bacteria in your media or quickly increase the bioload by a large amount.

Be safe and only gradually add new fish after you see the filters are doing OK on the 125g.
