First of all i'd like to say awesome site, i have been lurking for quite some time however i could never seem to get my account to work to post. i re-signed up and its working so thanks..
anyways heres my dilemma -
I currently have a 120 gallon fish tank that houses
2 Jaguar Cichlids 8
1 Midas Cichlid 8
1 Red Tail Catfish 16
1 Pleco 5
Now I KNOW that I am going to have to get a larger tank for my Redtail catfish so I wanted some opinions/options on what I can house him with.
I think I would like to keep my jaguars and midas together in the 120 with perhaps a few other dither fish.
But in my new tank which will be either a 250 gallon or larger.
I really love Parachromis dovii Cichlids and Peacock Bass the temensis breed.
But I have a feeling that they will not be able to live together?
What are tank mates that the Dovii can live with. I have read them as being very aggressive and I have read that the peacock bass arent as aggressive but are fun to feed because they are so hungry sort of like Oscars? Is this true?
If so what are tank mates I can have with the peacockbass?
Obviously I will need to get my next large cichlid soon so I can grow him up before being put with the RedTail Catfish?
Any help here?
thanks
