All about the U
So i could be stumbling upon a 700 gallon stainless steel aquarium in the near future. It is an incredible tank that the guy I know has and want to sell it. I really see no reason why my fish wouldnt thrive in it but it is really TALLLLL. It is probably 5 feet tall and three feet deep but only about 6 or 7 feet wide. I know Pbass would rather have a long tank but would they like a deep tank as well? I know my hybrid shovelnose will love being deep down there but will the bass swim around the bottom or stay at the top?

And also does anyone have their tanks in the garage? how does this work for you and do you have trouble with fluctuation temps? Jcardona your tank is in your garage correct?

Come to think about it it may be around 8 feet long. This is long enough for pbass for life isnt it? That is about a 5 pound ocell for reference of how big the tank is

Anyone? Anybody have any problems with this? I know my cichla need warmer water but wouild the water fluctaute to much in the hot summer and cold winter? Would a pond heater be enough to keep a 700 gllon tank warm during the winter?

I have three 300 gal. rubbermaids, and 2 smaller tanks in my heated garage and it is a bit of a hassle with the tempatures, i also live in northeast Ohio though. From what i've read here rising temps are not that bad, but dropping temp. 1-3 degrees can be deadly? you can always insilate the tank or just heat the garage enough to ensure nothing will go wrong. $$$$ Bust a hole in your wall and get that bad boy in your living room!!!!!!!! :headbang2

yeah im in dallas and im not really worried about the heat but the winter could be tricky. im wondering if a pond heater would do the trick. And yes if i get this tank it will definitely be in a wall someday
