I've been reading a lot here and I did a little research on youtube..
I have a 35 gal aquarium I'm setting up for two of my cichlids. Their currently in a 55 gal and not getting along with my Oscar cichlid. I want to do the filter system DIY - I don't want to go buy another $40 tetra filter - it costs enough with gravel, rocks, chems, air pump, and a heater.
I know their's a way to make my own. But, what is the best way to go about it and still save $$$ ? I don't need nothin fancy or pretty, as long as it's a good bio filter. Any suggestions?
