I tested my water in my tank after i let it establish and these were my results

GH - 180
KH - 240
PH - 7.5
NO2 - 0
NO3- 40

Its not bad considering its a new tank (apart from the GH ang KH) but i need to know how to lower it, i was planning on keeping arowana and discus, but with a GH and KH like this i dont think i could

P.S i live in just outside london so I need to know how to soften my water.
I used NUTRAFIN aqua plus to treat my aquarium.

There are no fish in the aquarium, so if their is a fast way of doing it, that would be much appreciated

WHAT CAN I DO! please help me

test your water straight out of the tap. you many have something in your tank thats raising it and as simple as removing it from the tank.

done that already, it seems to be the same.

Quick question, im puttin bog wood in my tank, been cleaning it for about 2-3 hours now and the bath water has not changed one bit, the bog wood seems to be perfectly clean. should i just put it in there?

Yes, its been soaking in the bath for 4 hours or so, and literally no change in water color, but im going to steam it in the dish washer for an hour (obviously without a tablet) so it will just be pure and hot water and steam cleaning my wood, this should sterilize it shouldn't it?

Usually I'd say boil it but I think the dishwasher treatment would be fine.
