i have a 8ftx14inx14in tank and i was thinking of moving my GATF in to that tank. as of now my two GATF are in a standard 80gal tank. do you think a GATF will grow faster in a tank that is long and short or a 80gal tank?

long and short?
fish definitely grow faster in bigger tanks.
in the case of GATF however, they tend to grow slow anywhere.

This is just MOP...

I say the bigger tank, the better... To grow a fish fast, you need high Temp (87*+ (NO MORE THAN 89*)... WITH LOTS AERIATION!), constant food (as the heat will speed up their appetite) and current... lots of current (its like a 24hr gym in the tank, swimming all day).
You still have to do lots of water changes tho

Thats if your trying to peak the ever slow growth of a ATF

I moved my gatf this morning, I mixed dirt and live sand for my substrate. My water is at 79 to 80 degrees. I have one pump in my sump that filters about 350 gal/h one mag drive that is really strong on one side that is on a timer 20 min every hour and on the other side I have a aqua clear 110 powerhead that is always on. What do you think is that ok

Dirt and live sand? like dirt from your yard and live sand from salt water? if so no that is not OK.
