New tank for P-Bass

Hi I just recently got my 300g tank and was wondering if putting couple bags of biomax underneath my gravel, would it help with the fish waste that stays in the gravel?

No oxygen rolling into the bio max, put it in your filters or sump

And vaccum that gravel each wc. Lots of unwanted waste gets trapped in the substrate.
Put the media in a fliter.
