I'm going to buy a new tank 120 G for my beloved 6 RBP. they are now 3-4 inches and living in 50 G tank.
the new tank dimensions are 4*2*2.

The aquarium will sell me the tank with the stand + flat roof + inbuilt filter system. They said with that filter system, can go without changing water for a long time.
I'm hoping to use F1 vet's aqua-phonic system to this new tank as well. For the bottom of the tank, I will use sand because cleaning gravel is difficult. The aquarium owner also suggested me to use sand instead of gravel. And also I will use a black color wallpaper for the back side of the tank.

Inside the tank, no plants. There will be 1 log + few corrals.

Since I painted my sides and back black they will sit right at the front of the tank and are waaaaay less skittish... I'm looking for a bigger tank for mine too....anyway Good luck can't wait to see pics

I would still suggest doing weekly water changes. 20-25% weekly, at least. These guys are messy eaters. It won't take long to throw your tank out of whack if you go long periods without water changes.

No matter what filter you have. Your going to have to do regular w/c at-least every other week. Red bellies are messy eaters no way getting around that! Unless it's a drip system

I have 6 in nearly the same gallons (125) but mine are twice the size. Used to have to do 1x60-70% wc/6-7 days to keep nitrates @40-50ppm now after a 1 y/o huge mature pothos I do 1x 50%wc every other week and maintain nitrate spikes around 20-25ppm! (Top of about 10gals in-between) But my plant has been growing strong for about a year:

Pretty cool, growth is from waste!

If my terrestrial plant filtration is consuming apprx 25ppm per week (low guess) that's 100ppm per month so 1,200ppm per year! Not bad for a 18$ investment!

Yea and cleaning filters is key too, they can become nitrate machine in months if feeding messy and not cleaning up!

×Go S. Vettel #1 Infiniti Redbull! 4x WDC!!! Congrats on another flawless title and 9 wins back to back in 1 season (record!) See you next year in Australia boys!×
