well my set up is a 5x3 with a 4x1.5x1.5 sump and stand. was thinking of adding another tank right below it. dimentions would be 4.5'(well 4'7" to be exact) x 30" x 20". let me know what you think, should i do it?

ps, forgive the very amatuer google sketchup:cool:!

personally i think the 2nd tank is so low on the ground that it'll b uncomfortable to look @. also, how r u plannin on settin up the lightin for it?
r u gonna run the filtration thru the same sump? imo, i'd say just have another setup if u have the space.

Sump underneath is practical. The 2nd tank underneath is not!

I've had a smaller lower level tank in the past, it ran on hob's so a sump/canister wasn't an issue, but it was still difficult to gravel vac and waterchange at that height.

it's mainly because i have no where else in the house to add anymore large tanks. i will be getting rid of a 2 tier 4x1.5x1.5 tankset but i really want a 2.5'wide tank. i really don't mind the discomfort, i just want to be able to keep more fish that are incompatible with gar and can't fit in 75gal tanks:cool:
