Have a 80 gallon tank, anyone got any cool ideas for a setup, not so much the fish, but the substrate and what to put in the tank

If I had a tank that big, I would do that awesome idea where you carve either a rock or wood design out of styrofoam and coat it to use it as a background....It looks so real and would be amazing in that big of a tank IMO.

How about a black and white tank?

Black Gravel with white peppered in (or salted in). Black back. Black and white pearl plastic plants. Abstract black and white decorations.

And only totally albino or totally black fish.

From my tanks, the most beatifulis one of 75 g that I use to keep only loaches ( macracantha, dario, lohachanta, striata, sidthmunki, modesta, morleti and lecontei) with a lot of plants.

How about some big clown loaches with black gravel, driftwood, and some big Amazon swords? Insert your favorite monster and this could be awesome!

I like AtomixIGN's black and white idea. Personally I like natural colored gravel, green plants, and rock formations or driftwood, the classics.

i just made some slate shelters out of some tiles and silicone, add some black small gravel it looks good so far. i added a piece of driftwood today, but its still floating.

lol, wish i could take credit for that being me on the toilet, but sorry to disappoint but its not a self portrait

i recommend eco complete substrate. it basically cycles your tank for you and is made for plants. it's a bit pricey, but worth it.
