New tank Idea's

Ok since I just aquired a 125 gal I am putting both (33&75) my tanks together into the 125 and I will have a free 55 gal that will be free and ready for new fish. wifey wants to go for nicer fish than mine.


I was thinking about a tiger barb tank for her. what do ya'll think?




btw.... selling the 33 and 75 gal have a empty 55 gal

tiger barbs are good, but I'd still add as the centerpiece a cichlid, perhaps a chocolate, or some other mellow cichlid

if i was in the situation i would have a community of small fish. 5-6 ram cichlids, some type of gourami (smaller sp.), tetra, glo danio, just make it shine with color of little fishes.

had a couple ofgourami's before (it might be from the lfs) but they turned pale and then died. had a pair of mostly blue and little red and mostly red and little blue ones.

I think you need a center piece fish of some sort... maybe a firemouth or somesort of midsize cichlid. Or gouramis. maybe a red tail shark or something.

silver dollars look great, but I wouldn't have them and the barbs...I'd pick just one school of fish

id go 4 tiger barbs then s group of geo's =p

Im thinkin, some nice small natives, a more natural, enviornment and you can have several in that 55
