Hi its not my first tank i do know about cycling sonits 450litre 5ft long i am planning on adding 1 albino oscar a breeding pair of jds (i think they are a pair ) 3 convicts and 6 pictus cats ( oscar will only be 2 inch when introduced ) i wanted to add a school of tiger barbs but they will get eaten people say so i dont like SDs so could i just add a few firemouths or somethimg ??

Oscar and Pictus cats are a bad idea. The Pictus have spines on their fins and if the Oscar decides the Pictus looks like a snack, it could be fatal to both fish. I would not take the chance.
A breeding pair of JD's with an Oscar...I don't think anything is going to sucessfully breed with an Oscar in a tank, and something that does would be more aggressive parents that would beat up the Oscar.

ur oscar needs to be at least the same size as the JD's or else the breeding pair will beat him to death. Convicts cn hold their own, but if at some point they decide to breed too, u'll have World War III in ur tank between the JD's and convicts with the occar caught in the middle. Make sure the convicts r all the same sex, preferably females. Adding more cichlids to the mix like firemouths has the potential to improve the situation by dispersing the agression, but can also make things worse, so u'll just have to try and see and have a back up plan. Another idea is adding a school of larger rainbow fish like bosemani. Also make sure u have lots of hidding places and breaks in the line of sight in the tank. And make sure u post pics once u set everything up
