i have had my red tailed payaras kill my juruense and a jurapari recently and was wondering if a six inch pictus and jaguar cat would be okay or a tiger shovelnose as bottom dwellers?the tats usually ignore everything else but the juruense was territorial and got in a fight with them over night.they are still with a yellowtail cuda and three massive silver dollars and a spotted silverdollar and so far no more problems

Tigershovel nose would probably consume it down the line. what size is the red tailed payaras, juruense and a jurapari? I've had luck with Tarpon but they are too big to eat and quick.

I vote tarpon as well. They're big dumb and friendly.

As for bottom feeders, I think the pictus might work.

for bottom fish, I definitely vote for bichirs. They are the universal "cool looking" tank mates for any monster tank setup.

This. I want an ornate in the worst way, but I'm trying to keep my stock very limited until I upgrade tanks again.
