Hello.

A few weeks ago my g/f came across a great deal. A family was selling there 125gallon with stand, top glass, and lights for 200$ She also threw in A huge 2ft common pleco and a little peacock eel.

I am unsure what I should put in here. I have had monster oscars in my old 90 gal. I hated how filthy they were, I was irresponsible and just threw in 20 feeders before I left for a weekend and they only ate half of them then killed the rest. The water got so polluted that my 18inch clown knife, 11 inch ornate, and 7 inch loach died :( came home and water looked like milk and dead fish everywhere, it was terrifying.

I kinda want to just fill it with poly's but I want something that will swim around mid level and top. I am leaning toward just a simple silver Aro or possibly getting a black aro but i would have to order the black online as no lfs have them or even know they exist.

Peacock bass interest me but I have no experience with them and I am afraid they will be just like the oscars.

I like the look of datnoids but again I have no experience with them, And they seem kinda boring, Do they have fun personalities?

Would Gar's be ok with poly's?

My current stock

1x ornate poly 4 inch

1x Peacock eel 7inch or so

1x Rope fish 12inch :)

1x Pleco 2ft or so

1x Jack dempsy around 3-4 inches

All in a 72x24x18 inch tank so it feels very very bare.

Thank you for any ideas :grinno:

Oh and substrate is currenly small polished stone around half inch to 1 inch wide

Edit : I have grown kinda tired with the knife fish, except for the aba aba but I dont want a fish that might steal my fingers.
