hey everyone i have a 6x2x2 empty i was thinking of a pair of knives and some birchers whats the chance of that happening? are they fast growers can they be kept together, tanks mates, all information would be great thank you very much!!

What kind of knifes? And what kind of bichirs?

There are several different kinds of both, with a range of sizes and aggression. If you got some of less aggressive bichirs you could pretty much get any knifefish you want excluding the more aggressive species. I kept a Senegal bichir with an African Knifefish for several years.

Knifefish and bichirs only bother fish that are noticably weaker or bite-size. As long as you bought them at the same size, I doubt you'd have problems.

Knives and Polys are fine together providing that they are the appropriate size. As for the Knives being together, unless raised together small, they usually are pretty territorial and will fight. Also, it depends on the Knife species itself...P. Afer are pretty aggressive and may attack the Poly while CKs will be fine.

good luck my friend. Make sure they're not crowded and have their own territory.

just make sure u research the max size of the fish before u get them, some bichirs/knifes grow really large so be prepared to get a larger tank
