i recently just bought a 150 gallon tank with stand and the whole setup for $250. probably the greatest deal i will ever make in my life. but anyway, i want to get a teacup stingray and i need to know what the price range is for about a 5 inch ray and if I can keep a pleco with it. any information is appreciated.

5in retic, if that what you refer to as a tea cup ray, go for $40-60 each by me. It can stay in that 150 for awhile. Maybe life time if it is a 150 wide. Some may disagree that the retic may need more room. Just my 2 cents. Just make sure you have plenty of filtration, I have no probs with 2 plecos in my tank with my rays. But again some may disagree.

Just make sure your tank is cycled with good filtration before you introduce the ray. Also retics are hard rays to get eating. Mine took a week to 2 weeks. Make sure you got all types of food to try. Bloodworms, blackworms, nightcrawlers are usually the best. Keep the tank warm and dark. And GOOD LUCK!!!!

alright thanks alot. and yea i meant rectic. the tank is 18 wide and the ray will probly get up to about 10 so I think it will be fine. atleast thats how big I have heard. I will have 200 gph running on that tank and it will probly be kept within 80-82 degrees.

Well take into fact that 12-14in max disc size, and there tail if it does not get bent or falls off will also get another 8-10in. So a full size of 24in, is what I think is min. a 150 tank 36x36 maybe okay, but a 72x18 may not. This is just infomation and advice you are asking for. Take it with a grain of salt. Good luck

alright thanks alot. Im going to try it out and if the ray seems to be crammed and cant turn around easily, then ill just sell him or give him away.

some retics will get an 18" disk size.... you will eventually need to upgrade your tank
