I have a pair that I have to move to another established tank, and I think they have eggs, but I can't tell because they are behind a rock. Is it ok to just move the rock and pair to the other tank? Will the eggs be ok, and will this break the pair's bond? I want to keep breeding these guys.

When you move them they will stay a pair usually UNLESS you are putting them in with convicts or other HRPs. Then theres a chance they could go off with another m or f.

As far as the eggs, I think if you move them to another tank that doesnt have the EXACT temp & chemistry as the ones they were layed in, they will die. I have never tried it though so thats just a guess.

Thanks! I did this and think they are ok. Not sure if the eggs are ok, but I made sure the temp and evrything was exact and luckily it was. I don't know if the eggs are ok, but I checked the water and moved as quickly as possible.
I guess I am more concerned about the pair staying together. They are in a 25g by themselves.

As long as they aren't exposed to dry air and the water chemistry/temperature is the same, they will be okay. Even if the eggs die the parents will likely spawn again very soon.

The male is getting really aggressive towards the female. Should I move her or is there a chance or anything I can do to get these to back together as a pair?
