New tank , new fish . ?

Not really sure if this is correct place to post this , so please move if i am wrong to post it here .

I posted before in the ' Loach section ' about getting some Clown Loaches for my 240Gal tank when i get it in a couple of months time to go with my 2 Oscars , GRFG and 2 Plecos but someone said that Clown Laochs are slow growers and that the Oscars could and probily will eat the Clowns' as they grow as fast as Oscars and said that i should have a think about some other larger bottom dweller instead , but i am really not sure what i could put in the tank which will not out grow the tank and not try and eat my current stock .

I will have to have something that will not outgrow the tank and that will get along with 2 Oscars , 1 Giant Red Finned Gourami and 2 Common Pleco's . I will be getting the tank hopfully in November when my Mum and Dad have had the extenstion done on the house so i do have a bit of time to think about what i could get , if not a bottom dweller could you please post some other fish that i could think about getting for the tank .

and Red Tail Catfish or Tiger Shovel Nose could stay for a while
but they will get to big for your 240 gallon.

Yer really want a RTC but i know that they will get too big and as i dont have room for a bigger tank than a 240Gal i would like something that i dont have to get rid of when it gets to big .

a fresh water ray would be sick, and im not totally familiar with rays but i think a ray would fit in a 240 for life

Yer a ray would be nice don't know much about them tho , not sure if i cuold get any now . My LFS had about 10 in last year but i'm not sure if he has any of them left now . But how many of them could i get if i decide to go with Rays . ?

Also is there anything else i could have a look at too .

240Gal - 8x2x2foot , which i have decided on a sand substrate a few rocks a couple of large peices of wood , caves and a few fake plants .

Filtered by ever 3 Tetratec1200 or 1 maybe 2 Fluval FX5 .

Fish - 1 Giant Red Finned Gourami , 2 Oscars
2 Common Pleco , then when big enough maybe a Blue Acara and a Gold Severum .

current size of the fish could be helpful...
a couple geophagus could clean the bottom of the tank, if thats what your looking for

tin foil barbs are good sand sifter, so are geo's. rays ster up the sand to, aswell as gold fish.
