I am new to tanks and just had a 55 Gallon given to me...I don't have a bunch of money and like Aqueon Products...But my question is what size heater should I use Aqueon makes several sizes which is the desired size? Also I'm not familiar with canister filters Aqueon makes a 55/75 filter I like but would a canister filter be better being as my prior knowledge in none exsistant...

Also FYI I have 2 Bumble bee Cichlids go in this tank...2.5 Inches each

THE 55/75 WOULD BE FINE FOR A 55 .... you probably will want a smaller filter on the other side of the tank... the aqueon 30 or 50 would work ... that will keep up on your flow,,, all the aqueons are on sale at petsmart right now... for a heater a 150 watt heater should do...

Well I have an Aqueon 20 I could place that on the other side and I like the Aquein Pro 150 so Thanx for the help...I also haven't ever used a power head and found one rated for up to a 50 gallon would that be good for circulation or not necessary for my type of fish...also was given a Free Blood Parrot Cichlid this evening because the store was going to close in a few days so I'm thinking he may have to stick it out with my jewels for the time being...
