So I am setting up a 40 gallon in my office and am using white sand from (imagitarium). I washed the sand as well as I could outside in a bucket in small batches then poured it into the tank.
I filled the tank up and let it sit for a day or two, added a heater and got the temp up to 72° so far, target is 78.
No fish have been added, I plan to move fish i have in other tanks to this one and move over an established filter as well.
However....I'm seeing all these bubbles in the sand....what is this?
