Both have their advantages and disadvantages so it will come down to personal preference...
Glass wont scratch as easily as acrylic, but glass tanks weigh a lot more than acrylic tanks
The bonds of the seams on acrylic tanks are meant to be stronger coz they are fused together, although glass tanks which are taken care of can last just as long imo...
So really comes down to personal preferences if you ask me... Unless your setting up a 200G+ tank and have only 1 other person to help you move it... In which case, acryic maybe more suitable...
