Hello,
I am moving into new home and upgrading from a 30 gallon to a nice 90 gallon tank. I am seriously inclined to the megaflow tank with its pre drilled holes for a sump. Here comes the questions part. I have never used a sump just back of tank filters.

I am building my own stand and if i go with the megalow tank i will allow room for the holes obviously for pre drilled tank. I was looking at the megaflow sump model 3. I do not see a return pump so i have to assume i need to purchase this seperately.

I also saw a fluval 405 and was thinking that looked great for tank also.

Can someone kindly fill me in on pros/cons of both of them, i will have room under my tank for either so that isnt a problem.

This will be a freshwater tank as well. All small types of fish - angels guppies etc.

I am honestly looking for a good filter system for my tank. I do have around a thousand to spend on this whole project - tank etc. Advice would greatly be appreciated.

My personal preference in filtration is closed system canister types. My personal guide line is to use a filter system that is rated for twice the size of my tank. For example I use a filter rated for 300g on my 150g

Then am i correct i need a return pump for water to go back to tank? The megaflow designed tanks have the pipes for both already pvp pipes plastic pipes and seals for everything with clamps, but i havent noticed anything in regards to a pump.

yes you will need a pump for the return. I would however look around here at the hundreds of DIY sumps use one of those designs. Then use the few hundred you saved for upgraded lights, new fish, or take the ol' lady out to dinner for letting you spend all this on your addiction.
