I got a 37 gallon tank for free! So I started to put it together with some dollar store goodies and spare parts around the house.
37 gallon display
10 gallon wet dry
900GPH overflow and return pump.

I think I am going to get some silver dollars and P-Bass to grow out for my 180 gallon tank.

Let me know what you think. I will have more pix tomorrow when I plum the overflow and return. Once my Mag 18 comes in the mail for my other tank I will have the return pump freed up for this one and get water in it.

Is the sump in front of a heater vent?

Looks like the intake vent for central air. Bad location idea if you ask me. Lots of airflow like that will promote evaporation among other things. Nice little tank though. Can't wait to see it all set-up. I hope its going to be a planted tank... as I sure do love the look of planted.

it is the intake for the air and yeah I do not know what to do yet as far as location. is it bad for the air or just for the tank? what if i covered the back of the stand?

I think i may move it. I still have some time before i fill it.

I have no idea if it'll effect it or not. Just noticed it that's all. Someone should know.

Thanks.

Anyone???? Good or bad for the house?

Just cover the back of the stand.

I think i am going to move it to the bedroom. Being ont he second floor i would rather it be on the other end of the hoese from my 180 anyways.

I would move the tank if I could. If you cover the back of the stand, you're seriously going to block the a/c return. Makes your a/c unit work harder to pull air and results in lessened air flow.
