I am faced with an issue. I have a 90 gallon aquarium with a Pleco and a 3" belly crawler pike. I have ordered a Spotted Gar (most likely florida gar). He is 4". Now I don't think I can pair these up. I plan in getting a little 20 gallon for feeders but now I'm thinking of putting the belly crawler and Pleco in the 20 gallon... But without letting a new tank cycle and build beneficial bacteria? Can I take the water from my 90 gallon and put it in the 20 gallon to make it ok for fish right away? Please help!

No, but you can take "gunk" from your current filter to seed your new filter.. I would reccomend doing this.. and running the filter your going to use on the 20gallon on your 90 until the gar gets there, I would still reccomend checing the water on the 20 the first 2 weeks but it's unlikely you'll run inot issues imo. If your pleco is a common pleco the 20 won't hold both fish.. and I would consider getting a 40breeder for your pike down the road (petco has 1$ per gallon sales pretty often) a 20 will hold him.. but it's on the small side imho.
