Looking at setting up a new tank in the kitchen. It's a rimless cube~ 11.5 x 11.5 x 11.5" about 6 .5 gal. Thinking about a nano reef, fw planted, shrimp, dwarf African frogs, or ?????
What would you do?

Id do a nano reef or a fw planted tank with shrimp.

Good suggestions! The tank will be located under the cabinets so not a lot of room above it.

I ruled out a catfish.

spotfin spotfin , Jexnell Jexnell thats the kind of stuff that promotes the thinking that they grow to the size of their tank...

A lot of the recommended sizes for small nano fishes really seem to want to start at 10 gallons. I thin it is brackish but a tiny Bumblebee goby would be cool.

You could be one of the first to show off the newly developed glo-betta, lol
