Ok, for sure I', getting another tank to get my JD and GT out of the same tank. Right now they're both in a 55g. I have found a 55 and 75 and I was wondering, if I were to get the 75, could I put either the JD or the GT in there with a couple Salvini? I have see a bunch of pictures of them and really like the coloration. Otherwise I will probably go with the 55g.

Never Salvinis, they are devils, especially pairs.I love salvinis too, but before I buy I made a research and i discovered that salvinis are really monsters.I have read that salvinis can defeat big fishs.
Cheers:thumbsup:

I would go with the 75gal myself.

in my opinion for the difference in price a 75 is much nicer to have. it gives you more options if you ever decide to change up the fish stock.

i agree you can get fish that are longer because they can turn around much easier in a 75. i would get the 75 anyways if you can. they look nicer because there deep tanks.

why not get both if you have the funds & space. if not the 75 will allow you to have more options. a JD with salvini both can get 10 inches for males 6-7 for females. so 3-4 fish plus dithers might work if you get little ones.

Ok, as for the suggestion for both tanks, that would be nice but I doubt it will go through. My roomates don't understand why I need more than one tank as is. I'm thinking the 75 is a done deal. Next question, could I throw, well, gently place the JD and GT in the 75 and have a couple Salvini in the 55? Just a thought, I've looked around and can't really find much on how they live with same speices and how much space they need. Sorry for all the questions, don't really want to be force to buy more tanks until i'm ready. Plus I don't think the roomates like me moving out the furniture for fish tanks all the time.

just get the 75 for now, and then when you are ready and have the money upgrade that one and use it as a sump, they wont be complaining about more than one tank anymore.

So could the JD and GT live in the 75 comfortably? Just wondering so I could put another fish or pair in the 55 gal.
