Okay so my birthday is coming up in 23 days and my parents want to know what i want!!! by the way im turning 14!!!!

I want a fish tank that i can keep some monsters in!!!!!!

What would be the best tank that is no more than 160g?????

I have been in the hobby for 6-7 years and can care for most fish!!!! I have had oscars, peckock bass, aros, clown knifes, and many barbs, plecos, etc...

Need help right away since my birthday is coming up!!!!!

I want to also buy a used one anyone know a website where i can find a cheap new one or a nice cheap used on???

craigs list
or ebay

how much are your parents willing to spend?
a 160 would prob need a 60g sump and those don't for free. you can still look around CL or ebay for pumps and stuff to build one andthen just get a rubbermaid container.
it all depends on how intricate you plan on making this.

so i cant just add like 2 eneim filters and four power heads i have to get a sump and if so i have have a empty 35g tank can i use that as the sump and place it underneath the 160g

35g sump would be more than plenty...60g is way overkill for a 160g. i mean if u look at the storebought ones in u'r lfs the sump for a 300g is only like 10g at the most.

hmm.... realy?

well it also depends how heavily and with what you want to stock it, if it's planted or not, and how much of the tank in water.

I'm going to use a 55 gal for my summ that will be filtering 2-150's. I think you would be fine with two canister filters. As long as they are of a decent size

okay well thats what im going to do then so then i will also be able to add fish to the 35g eventually too so thanks.

I second that.
For example, if you did 2 XP3s that would give you 700 gph or 4.75x turnover. This would work for a lightly stocked tank but I'd probably go for at least 7x turnover for a normal or heavier stocked tank.
