Hello, I have been setting up a new tank (50g long) and have been allowing the bacteria to culture with six tetras. I'm well into the 4th week and notice that algae, at first brown now green, started to grow on the top shelf of my rock habitat. I would like to know if that is fine or if I need to make an adjustment to my water quality management.

Do you have a light on the tank? If so, you might want to cut down on the time it's on.
But there is something wrong with your water parameters. If you have a test kit, use it! :)

yes, i have lights on the tank. It's a new tank in it's fourth week of setting up it's bacteria with six tetras. ph-8.2 , nitrite-0ppm, nitrate-.5, ammonia-0ppm
