I'm in the process of setting up a 225 and I'm on the fence if I should start fresh with new inhabitants or if I should "try" to combine my current stock in my smaller tanks.

I just wanted to get some opinions.

If I were to combine; I would be taking a 5 to 6 inch midas and a 3 inch female flowers out of a 75g and a 5 to 6 inch male FH out of a 40g. I understand trying to have those Co exist in one tank is a wild card but in the past I've had a good experience thus far in getting them to work out in a tank that size.

Thoughts?

I would try it just to get the fish out of the smaller tanks. If it doesn't work out you can always move back to their original tank.

For me! New tank, new stocks and new excitements :) unless you need space for the new tank but I still refer new stocks then combine the old one with new one later.

I'm thinking I'll have a better chance at getting a new stock to Co exist verses trying to make it work.

On the other hand, I've had these other guys since they were less than an inch big.
