Hello!

I am currently getting rid of my tank and fish in preparation for a move and a half, and have plans to set up a large square tank in the next foreseeable future.

Tank will be 4'x4' and between 18-24" high.

My main objective was to find a group of true Altums, with these I plan on keeping a larger geophagus species as well as a group of freshwater clouded archer fish. This will be suplemented by a large school of high bodied tetras, probably lemons.

What are your thoughts on numbers. I was thinking starting with 8-10 altums, 6-8 geos and 4-6 archers with a school of 30-40 lemons.

This will be planted with a lot of emersed stuff growing out the top along with some submerged plants as well.

Let me know what you think as I am beginning to look for sources.

U no what I was thinking of doing the same tank dimension but stock mine with discus. Ur future stock sounds like n amazon dream come true. But wouldnt the archers eat the lemon tetras?

Add some rainbow fish, and some South American leaf fish , plus a pearl gourami and a albino farlowella

Not to be "that person" but how do you plan on keeping your plants planted with geos in the tank? My brasiliensis would pull up any plant I kept with him (real or fake) and if it wouldn't come out he would shred it for not listening to him.. :D
