I have just picked up a 90g which I knew had a leak but didn't know where. I have just filled it up and traced t a minor weeping to the very top corner.

The tank is a Fluval Profile 1200 so is only a year old, do I just drain it and use silicone over the top 2-3" of the tank?

Or must I reseal the whole tank?

Or do I take off just the top 2-3" of existing sealant and go over that?

Thanks

New silicone doesn't adhere to old silicone....just cut out the section where it leaks.....make sure you get all the old silicone off...then use alcohol to clean the area.....

If your bead thickness is more than the 2-3mm recommended in the instructions, I would wait double the amount of time recommended based on the suggested cure time.
