new tank with coral dust every where

i set up a new tank yesterday and i rinsed the crushed coral and put it in the tank but there is still a ton of dust clouding the tank, i cant see the back of the tank but i can see the middle plants. should i just turn everything off and let it aettle or get a protein skimmer? please help.

Either one should work, I used my protein skimmer to remove the dust.

when i add CC to my african cichlid tanks, i just let the filters runn for a week then clean them out, that way most of the dust is removed and cannot be passed back into the tank.
